Before Soundwave Gongs, Pete was an international teacher and tutor for 15 years. He can offer engaging, bespoke tutoring sessions to young hotel guests during our visits.
Pete's experience in education has been extensive and varied. He has taught students aged 4-16 in ICT, Computing, Digital Citizenship, Maths and English at top private schools in the UK, Thailand, the Caribbean and Europe. He has also privately tutored students from the UK, USA, Canada, Greece, Romania and Thailand.
He is an expert in project-based learning and creating engaging and exciting learning journeys which incorporate subject knowledge and more importantly the key soft skills students need to succeed in education and the rest of their lives. Pete has specialist knowledge in digital learning and online safety as well as removing learning barriers using digital tools.
Pete has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the British National Curriculum and the IB as well as a basic understanding of the American and Canadian curriculums.
Pete can offer personal or small group tutoring sessions using a wealth of educational resources and the local environment.
Option 1: Sessions focused on a particular subject the parents would like their child to make progress in. These will be engaging and enjoyable as well as productive.
Option 2: Sessions focused on project based learning courses created by Pete. These are fun, interactive and use computers, analogue skills and the natural environment. They develop Maths, Literacy, ICT, Programming and creativity as well as important soft skills such as communication, resilience and problem solving among others.
Consultations with parents before and after sessions to discuss content and progress are available and it is wonderful for children to be able to present to parents after sessions to show them what they have achieved.
